Fresh Cut Tree Farm opening 11/23 @ 9:00 AM

August 2019, Week 3

August 2019, Week 3

We're not the only ones who love the corn harvest! Extra husks make our goats happy and mean that even what we don't eat has a purpose.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Part of making the farm more sustainable is finding better ways to replenish the soil, and ensuring that what we grow here goes to feed our community. Another part is thinking carefully about waste and minimizing it wherever we can. What can we repurpose and reuse? What can we minimize? How can we think creatively about our work to ensure that the people who follow in our footsteps still have good land, and the community to surround it?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These questions guide our work, in big and small ways throughout the year. What are you doing to make your life a more sustainable one?
