Farms are about so much more than food production. They're about connection with the earth that provides for us. In a space like this, we're never going to be able to produce enough for our community to eat. And that's not the point. That's not the goal. We aren't trying to do that.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What we are trying to do is something even more powerful and long-lasting. We're keeping a space that lets people understand the reality of what feeds us, from the plants that come directly from the earth to the animals who live their lives on the farm. It's uncomfortable, at times, to come face-to-face with your food. But it means you become more aware and appreciative of what's on your plate, and we think that's powerful.⠀

This week in your Simple Share...

Carrots - 1 bunch 
Morning Glory Muffins

Lettuce mix - 1 bag
A blend of our favorite crisp greens grown on the farm in our hoop houses.

Mixed Salad Greens - 1 bag
Mustard and Beet Greens Salad

Turnips - 1 bunch
Roasted Turnips with Balsamic and Thyme

Oranges - 3 lbs 
Sweet, juicy oranges from a fellow farmer in sunny California. 

Broccoli - 1 bunch 
Parmesan Roasted Broccoli

  • 6 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup Italian style bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl add broccoli, olive oil, garlic, bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese and mix until combined.Pour broccoli onto a baking sheet and sprinkle any leftover crumb mixture over the top.
  3. Bake on the top rack for 18-20 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven and let sit 1-2 minutes.

Cilantro - 1 bunch 
Aromatic Cilantro Lime Rice

Medium Sharp Cheese - 1 wedge
Heber Valley Cheese 

Sourdough Bread - 1 loaf
