August 2019
Nature, of course, is unpredictable. Sometimes things just aren’t ripe…until they suddenly are. The benefits of eating local are too many to list - you’re getting produce picked when it’s actually ready, shipped minimal distances. It tastes better and is easier on the earth. The thing we have to take into consideration, though, is that respecting nature in this way means we take what’s ready as it comes. While each day is a surprise, and we can't be sure exactly when everything will be ready, we are getting excited for some of our favorite crops.
