September 2019

There's a lot to be said for the simple classics. Many people come to the market for produce they can't find in a grocery store. It's true that you'll find things at a farm that you won't find on major market shelves. Many interesting varieties of produce don't store or ship well, or aren't as productive as their more familiar relatives.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But the thing we don't often talk about is how even the simple things are just better when they're fresh. If you've ever tasted an apple just picked from a tree, you know it's a whole different experience than that same kind of apple at the store. The same is true for every piece of produce we grow. When our farm's produce gets to the shelves, it's come straight in from the plants. You can see where we grew it from the front door. You can't get something fresher than that. And I can guarantee you that it's not the same as what you'd get elsewhere.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pick up a vegetable. Feel the way it sits in your hand. Smell it - is it sweet? Green? Tangy? Does it have a rich color? Everything about it is a sensory invitation.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We invite you to experience that here, with what we grow. Check our website for what we have available week to week. Then visit the market to feel the difference - subtle, but very real - between a well-stored piece of produce and a truly fresh one.
