Introduction to Natural Horsemanship

Tuesday, November 3 | 5:00-8:00 PM

If you’ve always been curious about working with horses, but don’t have a lot of experience yet, this is the place for you. It’s a safe, supportive environment in which to explore the principles of natural horsemanship. This technique will not put you as a rider right away, rather it uses a horse’s natural communication style both to understand what the horse is thinking and feeling, and what we are communicating in turn.

You’ll learn from Jeannie Parkinson, a licensed Natural Horsemanship instructor who has worked with horses in this respectful, partner-based way for over 15 years. She has developed insight into how horses think, and how to communicate them in a way that is frank and effective.

Through this workshop, you’ll begin to learn how to read a horse’s body language. You’ll develop a deeper awareness of your own body language and how it affects and moves the horse. And you’ll align the two, creating a deep rapport and level of understanding that motivates your horse without force or coercion.

This workshop is appropriate for people who work with horses as well as people who want to experience a deeper understanding of the ways their own way of interacting with the world reflects back to them. This workshop provides insight and a sense of how we relate to one another that we can’t wait to share with you.

If you would like to bring your own horse to work with, you are welcome to. Just let us know by emailing

*Workshops are non-refundable
